How to remove a picc line

Nurses must make sure that a PICC line remains functioning properly and that the dressing around it remains sterile. PICC lines are catheters that help patients maintain their good health. At some point, patients must have their PICC lines removed so that they can continue to maintain their good health. Nurses must be prepared to remove PICC lines in the safest manner possible. This is an important nursing skill that be performed on a frequent basis for most nurses.

What Is A PICC Line?

A peripherally inserted central catheter or PICC line is small, long, flexible, slender tube that nurses insert into a patient’s peripheral vein. The insertion usually is in the upper arm area. The PICC line usually advances until the tip of the catheter ends in a large vein in the patient’s chest near their heart to gain access intravenously.

Steps on PICC Line Removal

When patients no longer need their peripherally inserted central catheter, it must be removed. Registered nurses qualified to give intravenous medication are the only nurses who can remove PICC lines. This painless procedure takes a few minutes to complete by a trained nurse.

  1. Gather the necessary materials to remove the PICC line. The materials include sterile scissors, sterile dressing packages, stitch cutter, air occlusive dressing, hibitane How to remove a picc linesolution, and sterile gloves.
  2. Wash the hands thoroughly and put on a new pair of sterile gloves before proceeding.
  3. Take a few moments to explain the PICC line removal process to the patient. Answer any questions that he or she may have about the procedure.
  4. Organize the materials near the patient’s bedside before performing the procedure. Turn off the infusions and prepare the dressing patch before positioning the patient.
  5. Place the patient in the supine or Trendelenburg position to remove the PICC line.
  6. Using the stitch cutter, carefully remove the suture that holds the central venous catheter. Hold the suture in a manner that ensures that it does not migrate accidentally.
  7. Prepare the patient for the next step by asking him or her to hold the breath as the nurse removes the catheter. Cover the area immediately with sterile gauze and hold the gauze in place with a light amount of pressure.
  8. While the patient is still holding his or her breathe, cover the area with an occlusive dressing. Reposition the patient once the process is complete. Tell the patient that it is okay to stop holding his or her breathe.
  9. It is necessary to document aspects of the procedure. Use the progress notes to document the date, time, type, and condition of the catheter at the time the central line was removed. Also, make notes on the condition of the patient. Chart conditions such as discharge, swelling, and redness of the patient’s skin.
  10. The nurse should monitor the patient for the next 24-48 hours following the procedure. The dressing should remain in place for 24-72 hours, according to the timeframe in which the catheter was in position. Closely watch the patient after the removal for signs of infection, bleeding, and air embolism.

Tips for Removing a PICC Line

  • Make sure that the hands are clean before handling the PICC line removal items and supplies.
  • A PICC line should be covered with clean, secure dressing at all times to prevent infection and migrant infection.
  • A PICC line can only be removed at the order of a doctor.
  • Use slow, intermittent traction when removing a PICC line. Do not apply direct pressure to the insertion site.
  • Send the tip of the catheter to the lab for a culture if infection is suspected. Make sure to get a doctor’s order before sending to the lab.

Complications Encountered During PICC Line Removal

One of the most common complications encountered during PICC line removal is breakage during removal. It is important not to remove the PICC line with force. Infection is another complication that patients encounter. Infections can exist at any time so it is important to monitor the PICC line and maintain sterile techniques as much as possible. Another complication is an embolism or catheter fracture that can result in a change in consciousness in the patient. Patients may also experience a temporary swelling or redness (Phlebitis) near the catheter site.

Only registered nurses have the qualifications to care for or remove a PICC line from a patient’s body. Nurses must take care when removing a patient’s PICC line to ensure that the patient has a painless experience. Monitoring the patient after the PICC line removal is very important to the recovery of the patient.

Your peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) line is used to deliver medicine or feedings. It’s a long, flexible tube (catheter) that goes into your vein. To care for your PICC line, you will need to flush it. This means you’ll need to clean it with a solution as directed by your healthcare provider. This keeps it from getting clogged or blocked. A clogged or blocked PICC line will need to be taken out and replaced.

When to flush your PICC line

You’ll need to flush your PICC line as often as directed by your healthcare provider. You may need to flush it after each use. If the PICC line is not in active use, you may need to flush it once a day. Or you may only need to flush it once a week. Talk with your healthcare provider about how often you should do this.

What you’ll need

Flushing solution. This is the liquid that you will send through the PICC line. Your healthcare provider will tell you what kind to use. In most cases, it is saline solution. This is a sterile mix of water and a tiny amount of salt. Your healthcare provider will also tell you how much to use. You may also need to flush with a heparin solution after the saline. Heparin is a medicine that thins the blood. It helps prevent blood from clotting in and around the catheter.

A syringe. This is the device used to give an injection, or shot. A syringe is used to flush your PICC line with the solution. You will probably use prefilled syringes.

Alcohol wipes or rubbing alcohol and cotton balls. You’ll use these to clean some of the tools used to flush your line. This helps to prevent germs from going into your PICC line.

How to flush your PICC line

Repeat these steps as often as your healthcare provider has instructed:

Step 1. Wash your hands

Wash your hands well with soap and warm water.

If you don’t have access to soap and water, use an alcohol-based hand gel. The gel should have at least 60% alcohol.

Only touch your PICC line with clean hands, or when wearing clean gloves. This is to protect you from infection.

Step 2. Fill the syringe

Open a new bottle of the flushing solution. If you’re using a bottle that’s already open, use the alcohol to clean the top of the bottle.

Remove the cap from the needle or tip of the syringe. Push the plunger of the syringe down all the way.

Put the needle or tip of the syringe into the flushing solution.

Pull the syringe plunger out. Stop when you have the right amount of flushing solution in the syringe. Your healthcare provider will tell you how much to use.

Step 3. Remove air from the syringe

Hold the syringe with the tip pointing up.

Flick or tap the syringe with your finger. This will cause any large air bubbles to rise into the tip.

Slowly push on the plunger until a tiny drop of flushing solution comes out of the needle or tip.

Put the cap back on the needle or tip of the syringe. This will keep it germ-free until you use it.

Step 4. Inject the flushing solution

Wipe the port with alcohol.

Open the clamp, if there is one.

Take the cap off the needle or tip of the syringe. Insert the needle or tip into the port.

Push the plunger in slowly and smoothly. Don’t force the plunger. You shouldn’t feel any pressure when you push the fluid into the PICC line. If you do, stop right away.

Step 5. Finish flushing

If there is a clamp, close it just before the syringe is empty. This stops blood from flowing back into the catheter.

Remove the needle or tip of the syringe from the port.

Put the syringe into a special container (sharps container).

When to call your healthcare provider

Call your healthcare provider right away if you have:

Fever of 100.4°F (38°C) or higher

Swelling, redness, drainage, or pain around the PICC site

Bleeding from the PICC site

Tubing that leaks or is pulling out

Feel new resistance when flushing the PICC line, or can’t flush at all

Medicine or fluids that do not drain from the bag into your PICC

Life with a PICC line can be challenging. This blog will address some of the most common questions about PICC Lines, including steps to change the PICC line dressing.

How Do I Care For My PICC Line?

  1. Always sterilize your hands before touching your PICC line, and make sure to store your PICC supplies in a clean location.
  2. Keep your PICC line intact at all times and avoid getting it wet. Consider using a PICC line cover to keep your PICC secure and a PICC line shower cover to keep your PICC dry in the shower.
  3. Avoid lifting any weights that are more than 5 to 10 pounds
  4. Do not take part in activities that involve a lot of arm movement
  5. Remind caregivers not to check your blood pressure or give needles in the arm where the catheter is placed
  6. Follow all procedures and precautions your doctor or medical provider has given you before you leave the hospital or clinic

PICC Line Dressing Change

  1. Wash your hands for at least 15 seconds and dry them thoroughly.
  2. Lightly rub alcohol pads over the old dressing.
  3. Remove the tape while holding down the PICC line itself, so you don’t accidentally pull it off. Pull all dressing toward the tube.
  4. After the dressing is removed, always check to ensure you do not see any redness, swelling, or pus. In the event you do see these items, you should cover your PICC line with gauze and seek medical help.
  5. Wash your hands for 15 seconds again, and then dry them thoroughly. Open your new dressing package so that you do not touch the contents inside.
  6. Put on a pair of sterile gloves. After you have done this, sterilize the area with the items the doctor or nurse has instructed you to use. You’ll then cover the area with gauze or a sterile, clear bandage. You may also apply tape. Watch how to change your PICC line dressing here.

How Do You Flush a PICC Line?

In order to flush your PICC line catheter, you will need saline syringes, clean paper towels, alcohol or chlorhexidine wipes, sterile gloves and a safe container to dispose of needles and syringes.

Guidelines for flushing a PICC :

  1. Wash your hands for 30 seconds with soap and water, and pat dry with clean paper towels
  2. Put on the sterile gloves. Remove the cap on the saline syringe, unclip the clamp on the end of the catheter, and wipe the end of it with an alcohol wipe.
  3. Screw or push the syringe with the flushing solution into the end of the catheter tubing.
  4. Now, use the syringe plunger to slowly push the saline liquid into the catheter. This process needs to be carried out patiently. Applying force will lead to a damaged or clogged catheter. Inject all of it gradually, if you face any difficulty contact your provider immediately.
  5. After the liquid has successfully been pushed into the catheter, unscrew the syringe and place it in the sharps container. Wipe the end of the catheter clean with an alcohol wipe.
  6. Put the clamp on the catheter, remove the sterile gloves and wash your hands.

Can I Take a Shower With My PICC Line?

You can take a shower or a bath with a PICC line provided it is kept dry at all times. It is imperative to keep the area around the catheter covered. A PICC line shower cover can help make the process easier and efficient.

PICC Warning Signs After Placement

Several warning signs to look for after your PICC line place has been placed include

  • Fever or chills
  • Blood clots
  • Experiencing pain/ swelling in the arm where the PICC line is placed
  • Fluid leakage when you flush the catheter
  • Redness, swelling or hardening of the PICC Line arm

If you notice any of the above-mentioned signs and symptoms, contact your healthcare provider immediately.

Can I Drink Alcohol With a PICC Line?

It is always advised to consult with your doctor or medical provider regarding alcohol consumption. If you are undergoing treatment for Lyme, alcohol intake can slow down the healing process and result in negative side effects. Alcohol consumption is not recommended for people while on chemotherapy, as it can interfere with medications like procarbazine, and lead to impaired drug break down in the liver. Please contact your healthcare provider for further information.

Many patients require the use of a peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) as they continue to heal. Doctors, nurse practitioners (or physicians assistants) insert PICC lines for patients who need IVs for a certain amount of time. These long lasting IVs are much better for patients than the traditional IVs. Nurses must make sure that the dressing on a PICC line is always clean and free of debris. This is a very important nursing skill that will become more and more important as PICC lines are used more and more often in the medical industry.

What is a PICC Line

A peripherally inserted central catheter or PICC line is a soft plastic tube that is inserted into a large vein right above the patient’s heart. The PICC line must remain sterile at all times so that the patient does not run the risk of getting an infection.

How Often are PICC Line Dressings Changed

PICC lines should be changed at least once per week. If the dressing becomes loose, wet, or dirty, the dressing must be changed more often to prevent infection. PICC line dressings must be inspected on a daily basis. Moist dressings are breeding grounds for infections. Signs of moisture, wetness, or dirt are signs that the dressings need to be changed more often. Loose fitting PICC line dressings can make it possible for dirt and debris to enter the area around the insertion site.

Steps on How to Change a PICC Line Dressing

The old dressing must be removed before applying new PICC line dressing so nurses must make this the first step of the changing process. Gather the necessary materials (biopatch, alcohol wipes, plastic wrap or aluminum foil, soap, and dressing kit) and get started.

  1. Clean the work area with alcohol pads or soap and water to sterilize the work area. Place aluminum foil or plastic wrap over any work area made of wood. How to remove a picc line
  2. Wash the hands thoroughly with soap and water for a minimum of 15 seconds. Make sure that the hands are dry before proceeding.
  3. Using the alcohol pads, lightly rub the pads over the patient’s old pads and dressing.
  4. Take care when removing the old tape that secures the old dressing.
  5. Make sure that the hub of the PICC line is held down securely on the arm so that it is not removed accidentally. Gently loosen the edges of the dressing and slowly pull it toward the site of the insertion.
  6. Examine the site and the skin for pain, swelling, pus, leaking fluid, torn skin, redness, or a protruding tube. Call the contact person or cover the area with sterile gauze and immediately take the patient to the ER.

Now that the old dressing has been removed, it is time to put on new dressing for the patient. The steps are as follows:

  1. Wash the hands again before proceeding to put on the new PICC line dressing.
  2. Open the package of a new dressing kit. Do not attempt to gather the materials contained in the package separately because there is no guarantee that the material will meet the same standards as those contained in the sterile dressing package. Tear the package at the corner and make sure that none of the materials is touched with the bear hands.
  3. Put on a pair of sterile gloves before touching any materials in the package. The dressing package contains a pair of sterile gloves in which the inside cuff of one glove is turned up so that the materials in the kit remain sterile. Do not touch the outside of the package or anything other than the contents of the package once the gloves are on the hands.
  4. Squeeze the sides of the Chloraprep stick contained in the package and clean the site using a circular motion. Begin sterilizing at the insertion site and work in an outward motion. Some kits may contain betadine or alcohol to sterilize the area.
  5. Allow the area to dry on its own for at least 30 seconds. Apply a BioPatch disk to the area around the PICC line, making sure the foam side is on the skin and the grid side is up. Line up the tubing and the slit. Cover the insertion site and patch with clear dressing.
  6. Secure the clear dressing by applying the tape in a criss-cross formation.
  7. Dispose of the used supplies and wash the hands when the process is complete.

Complications You May Encounter When Changing a PICC Line Dressing

The complications that are associated with changing PICC line dressing are catheter breakage due to improper care, infections, and leakage. It is also possible to pull the PICC line out accidentally while changing the dressing. Consult with the patient’s doctor immediately if this happens.

Infections are probably the biggest complication so it is important to monitor the dressing at least once per week and change the PICC line dressing whenever it gets dirty, loose, or wet.

Changing PICC line dressing takes patience and skill in order to do correctly. Patents depend on the care that nurses provide to make sure that their PICC line care is executed properly.

About Canvas, Canvas ‘elements’, and the visibility of `elements’ .

When any element on the canvas needs to change (move, erase, etc), the standard method is to completely erase the canvas and redraw the canvas with the elements in their new positions (or not redraw the elements if they are erased).

That’s because canvas does not “remember” where it drew any individual element and therefore cannot individually move or erase any element.

It’s up to you to “remember” enough information about an element to redraw it after the canvas has been erased.

So in your example you could create javascript objects a and b to represent your top-right and left-bottom line paths.

Each object would have the points which define its line-path and a flag indicating if it is visible (visible == redrawn on the canvas).

For easy processing you can put all your line-path objects in an array:

Then when you clear the canvas you simply use each objects line-path information to redraw the line. If a particular objects visibility flag is false then don’t redraw that particular object.

With all this in place, your buttons simply change the visibility flag on a particular line-path object and then clear/redraw the entire canvas.

A censored photo is an image with certain parts of it painted over or pixelated. Like this:

How to remove a picc line

Can this somehow be fixed? Is there a way to uncensor such an image and get its censored parts back? To answer this question, let’s go into what a censored image is.

What is a censored image

A photo can be censored in multiple ways of which the most popular are two: painting over and pixelating. Censorship of the first type is a black (or any other color) box painted over some part of the image, possibly with a “censored” mark on it:

How to remove a picc line

The second censoring method takes the area of the photo to censor and artificially lowers the image resolution of that area. The resulting image loses quality and becomes unreadable:

How to uncensor an image in Inpaint?

Let’s get this straight: censoring is irreversible. You cannot restore original pixels of the image that are now painted over or blurred. But there is a way to recover a part of original information using the surrounding (uncensored) pixels using Inpaint.

Here is how it works.

Step 1: Load the image to Inpaint

Open Inpaint and click the Open button on the toolbar. Select the censored image you want to restore and open it in the program. The photo will appear in the main window.

How to remove a picc line

Step 2: Mark the censored area using the marker tool

Inpaint lets you retouch the censored area and hide it from the picture by extrapolating surrounding pixels to the censored part of the image. To tell the program what part of the image should be retouched, select the Pencil tool or the Magic Wand tool and select the censored box or the pixilated box. Just like that:

How to remove a picc line

Step 3: Run the retouching process

Inpaint will try to recover information from the surrounding pixels and makes the whole image look like it is not censored.

How to remove a picc line

Can I uncensor a face or a bikini?

Unfortunately, no. As we said above, the censored image simply does not contain information about face or body features anymore. After all, that’s the point of censorship, is it? And Inpaint can only restore the censored part of the image by analyzing its other parts and applying them as a patch to the censored zone. As long as your photo does not contain another copy of the same face, there is nothing you can do here.

However, Inpaint can remove censored boxes from logotypes, labels, vehicle number plates and such. It can recover non-essential parts of the photo that was censored, like smoking cigarettes or any other small objects, censored territories on satellite photos and such.

Learn how to automatically cut an object out from a scene — or simply remove a white background in Photoshop — with help from AI-powered Adobe Sensei. Explore reasons to use manual background removal adjustments during the photo editing process.

Say goodbye to unwanted backgrounds.

Sometimes you need to cut out the original background of a photo and replace it with something else. For example, product photos and professional headshots often put their subjects in front of a solid color or white background, which is easy enough when working in a photography studio. But if you don’t have a physical solid background on hand, you can use a few different methods in Photoshop — including both manual and automatic, AI-powered options — to remove the background of an image and replace it with a new one that suits your needs.

Once you’ve detected, selected, and removed the background of an image, you still have to double-check the edges of the object you cut out to make sure you’re happy with your selection. This is especially true around complex edges, like animal fur or human hair. Fortunately, tools powered by Adobe Sensei, like the Refine Edge Brush tool, can help you better blend the subject with its new background.

How to remove a background automatically.

Whether you need to remove a simple white background for your project or have a more complex background you want to change, Photoshop can do it in just one click.

1. Use the Remove Background button.

First, open your image in Photoshop and unlock the layer. Choose Quick Actions from the Properties panel and select the Remove Background button. Powered by Adobe Sensei, this tool will detect the subject and create a transparent background with help from a layer mask.

2. Clean up the edges with black and white brushes.

After you remove the background, some small bits of background may remain on the edges of a subject. Use the Brush tool to adjust the mask to your liking. Select the subject and use the white brush to reveal and the black brush to conceal any unwanted pixels.

Or, you can do the same trick with Inpaint in merely few minutes! So, here’s is how you can remove a watermark from an image in 3 simple steps:

Step 1: Open the photo with a watermark in Inpaint

How to remove a picc line

Step 2: Use the Marker tool to select a watermark area

Switch to the Marker tool on the toolbar and select the watermark area. Note that you can adjust the precise size of the marker for fine selection. You can also apply the Magic Wand tool to select a watermark area with one click – this works best with one-color opaque watermarks or logos.

Step 3: Run the restoration process

Finally, run the restoration process by clicking the ‘Erase’ button. Inpaint will process the image and will remove the watermark from it.

So you’ve taken a stellar photo, only you accidentally captured an annoying object in the background that throws off the entire composition and effectively ruins your image. What do you do? You can’t “Photoshop” it out be cause you don’t own Photoshop. However, there is hope!

With GIMP, which I always call the “free version of Photoshop,” you can easily remove objects in the background of your image using just a few tools. This technique just requires a bit of patience to get the best result as you are essentially patching over the object using other parts of your image, and then potentially painting over the object to help it blend in with the original background.

You can watch the video version of this tutorial below, or skip over to the Help Article version (below the video), which is available in many languages (via the language dropdown in the top left corner of this web page).

How to remove a picc line

To start, you’ll want to open your image into GIMP by going to File>Open and selecting the image from your computer. If you want to use the same image I am using, you can download it for free on Pixabay (at your own risk) here. I’ll be removing the man from the sidewalk in this photo.

How to remove a picc line

Once opened, zoom in on the part of the image that you want to erase using the zoom tool (select the zoom tool from the tool bar or hit Z on your keyboard). You can click and drag your mouse around the object to zoom in on the object (shown in the image above).

How to remove a picc line

OPTIONAL: If you are worried about accidentally erasing a nearby object, you can grab the paths tool in the toolbar or hit B on your keyboard and draw around your object. You draw by clicking to create anchor points, and can click and drag your mouse to curve the line at the anchor point (shown in the image above).

How to remove a picc line

Click and drag your last anchor point so that it overlaps with your first anchor point (demonstrated in the image above). You can click on any of the anchor points you created and adjust the curves of the line if you need to. Just click on the boxes that show up around the anchor point, dragging them until you get them in place.

How to remove a picc line

Once everything is properly in place (mine is a very rough outline), go to your tool options and click “Selection from path” as demonstrated above. This will outline your object as a selection, and will ensure you don’t paint over anything outside of the object.

I won’t be using a selection area for this image, so I’ll go to Select>None or will hit shift+ctrl+A on my keyboard to deselect the area.

How to remove a picc line

Next, grab the clone tool from the toolbar or hit C on your keyboard (denoted by the red arrow in the image above). This tool allows you to select pixels from a nearby area on your image, then paint or “clone” those selected pixels over the object you are trying to remove. Use the left and right bracket keys (“[“ and “]”) on your keyboard to adjust the size of the clone tool brush.

How to remove a picc line

Once you have the size you want, hold down the ctrl key and select the area where you want to grab some pixels on your image (denoted by the red arrow in the image above).

How to remove a picc line

The circle that represents your brush will freeze on the area where you selected (denoted by the red arrow in the image above) – this is the cloning area. Make sure to leave some room between the area you selected and the object you are trying to remove as the cloned brush will move with your live brush (denoted by the green arrow) as you paint. You can still increase or decrease the size of your brush after you have selected an area to clone – the cloned brush will increase and decrease with the size of your brush.

How to remove a picc line

NOTE: If you want your object/person to look like a ghost or be partially visible, you can adjust the opacity of the clone tool in the tool options menu area (denoted by the red arrow in the image above). Simply click on the Opacity bar and drag to the left or right, or double click on the number (shown as 51.7% above) and type in the percentage of opacity you want.

As you paint, the object should begin to disappear assuming you have selected a similar enough area to clone. As you reach areas that change in composition, you may need to repeat the clone area selection steps (holding ctrl and clicking on a new area) before you continue painting. If you make a mistake, just hit ctrl+z to undo the mistakes.

How to remove a picc line

I recommend hitting Z on your keyboard then holding the ctrl key while you click to zoom out and see what your composition looks like while you work. This allows you to see if any parts of the object are still visible, or if anything doesn’t look quite right. In this case (referencing the image above), some parts of where the legs used to be are visible, and so I’ll zoom back in and touch up those areas.

TIP: You can hold shift to create straight lines with your clone tool. I used this technique towards the end as some of the lines of light in the sidewalk looked a bit funky and smudged.

How to remove a picc line

After cleaning up the noticeable spots, the guy who was originally in the background of the image has now disappeared! The closer or larger your object is in the image, the more detail you will want to pay attention to the areas around the object to remove all artifacts and make it look more natural. To see another example on how to do this, watch our tutorial on How to Remove Anything from a Photo in GIMP.

Thanks for reading this tutorial, and visit our tutorials page for more GIMP tutorials!

Suppose I download a .deb package from a website and install it. (I assume that when I double click the .deb file, the package is installed through a GUI that interfaces with dpkg right?)

How can I uninstall it?

Manually installed packages appear in the Software Centre, along with all the others. Just search the software centre for your package and remove it there.

You may have to click on “Show N technical items”

How to remove a picc line

Along with this, there are a few other methods:

  • Go to System → Administration → Synaptic Package Manager
  • Click the Status button and select “Installed (local or obsolete)”
  • Right click a package and select “mark for removal”.

Click the Apply button.

This will have the benefit of listing all of your manually installed packages:

How to remove a picc line

You can either use sudo apt-get remove packagename if you know the name of the package, or if you don’t, search for it using apt-cache search crazy-app and then remove it using apt get

You can also use dpkg –remove packagename .

How to remove a picc line

This will also let you know if there are any unneeded packages left on your system, which were possibly installed as dependencies of your .deb package. Use sudo apt-get autoremove to get rid of them.

The command to facilitate that is:

Also if you need to remove them forcefully

Every solution here assumes you know or can find the name of the package, but none provide how to remove a package if all you have is the deb. To that end, the below command will extract the package name from the deb and remove that package name.

NB: this does not confirm that the package being removed is the exact version described by the deb – be careful.

Open up Ubuntu Software Center (Applications -> Ubuntu Software Center) and search for the package you want to uninstall, and click on the Remove button:

Or from the command line:

Use -r with dpkg .

If your want to remove the package and all configuration files related to it:

apt-get -y Potentially Dangerous:

Although it’s true that- sans GUI– our choices are:

  • apt-get remove (or “purge“) packageName
  • dpkg -rpackageName

Where dpkg can be executed from a script without the equivalent of a ” -y ” switch, apt requires this to avoid user input. The consequences are that apt could automatically resolve package dependencies and remove packages other than the target supplied to the command.

Note when I remove iptables that lxd and ufw also removed. But what if I didn’t want lxd removed? Well, it’s gone now:

Note dpkg stops me from potentially altering the system in an unintended way if I were to use it in a scripted execution and refusing to remove both ufw and lxd:

Conclusion:

So although it’s true we like to ensure our scripts complete successfully and not exit in error, it might be desirable for a script to fail than complete by modifying the system outside of the target of the command. Such a use-case makes dpkg -r more desirable for scripted execution.

How to remove a picc line

Here is a user-friendly approach if you still got the .deb:

  1. Double-click on .deb
  2. Ubuntu Software window will open
  3. Press the “Remove” button

The installed package will be visible in both Synaptics and software center. In the former one, it will appear under local packages and in the latter one under other.

You can use the remove and force flags:

Alternatively, if you installed it through Ubuntu Package Manager, you can remove it with apt:

How to remove a picc line

obviously, You can use the remove and force flags:

but in very many cases that won’t help at all. Neither will it help in case of dpkg breakage to try any of the GUI tools like synaptic or even worse ones, since they all depend on dpkg . This is because dpkg is very opinionated on those often-occurring errors, leaving many users marooned. Here is an example where a .deb was sideloaded and Ubuntu does not offer a GUI way nor CLI way to solve the problem:

LANG=en sudo dpkg –purge ‘brmfc7440nlpr:i386’

dpkg: error processing package brmfc7440nlpr:i386 (–purge): package is in a very bad inconsistent state; you should reinstall it before attempting a removal Errors were encountered while processing: brmfc7440nlpr:i386

And yes, the lead to “reinstall it before attempting. ” is of course utterly futile and redundant, since it just runs into the same error with another flavour.

And yes, adding ” –force-all ” just is as futile as without, obviously.

This already will lead many users to reinstall Ubuntu in hopes of betterment, taking many, many hours of extra work. The package from the real-world example above is a laserprinter (lpr) driver for a brother MFC model 7440N.

The efficacy and safety of a catheter removal only strategy for the treatment of PICC line thrombosis versus standard of care anticoagulation: a retrospective review.

J Thromb Thrombolysis. 2019 Jan 23;:

Authors: Shatzel JJ, Mart D, Bien JY, Maniar A, Olson S, Liem TK, DeLoughery TG

Abstract
Peripherally-inserted central catheters (PICCs) are commonly used during hospitalization. Unfortunately, their use can be complicated by catheter-related thrombosis (CRT). Current guidelines recommend 3-6 months of anticoagulation for patients with CRT after catheter removal. This recommendation is based on extrapolation of data on lower extremity thrombosis, as data is lacking regarding the efficacy and safety of more specific management strategies. Many providers feel catheter removal alone is a reasonable treatment option, particularly for patients at risk for bleeding. We performed a retrospective analysis of hospitalized adult patients diagnosed with CRT at our center. We determined rates of progressive thrombosis and bleeding in cohorts of patients who underwent catheter removal vs those who had catheters removed and received anticoagulation. Among 83 total patients, 62 were treated with PICC removal alone, while 21 underwent PICC removal followed by therapeutic anticoagulation. Patients treated with PICC removal alone were more likely to have hematologic malignancy, receive chemotherapy, develop thrombocytopenia, and have brachial vein thrombosis. No patients in the PICC removal plus anticoagulation arm developed progressive thrombosis, while 6.4% of patients treated with catheter removal alone developed a secondary VTE event, including one PE, three DVTs, and five patients (8%) who developed progressive symptoms leading to initiation of anticoagulation. Major bleeding was significantly more common in the PICC removal + anticoagulation arm (28.5% vs. 4.8% p = 0.007). Catheter-removal alone results in significantly reduced major bleeding compared with catheter-removal plus anticoagulation. In select patients, catheter removal alone may be an option for CRT.

How to remove a picc line

I do not know that the question has been asked or not before this. You think that you have an leaf image in your handle. The image does not only contains leaf but also some lines, or fuzzy-things. Okay I hope It is clear until this. Now, You have to remove that lines and fuzzy things in order to make some processes. You just want to take leaf in the image and also just the external contours of the leaf. Do you have an idea ? Which functions or steps do you use for this ? Finally, This process must be very clear. I mean, there should be any fuzzy things in the image, except leaf.

I put an example. These are before and after. Just give me an opinion or something like that.

How to remove a picc lineHow to remove a picc line

As you see, The problem is that. I just want to take the external contours of the main leaf in the image. Or If it is possible, The image can be cleaned. The second important point is that the process should be standard for all images.

I’m waiting your ideas. Thanks in advance !

This is not a very easy problem, but by looking at the image I have a few ideas:

  • Do a texture analysis. Apply the Gabor filters on the image, then train an SVM to discriminate the leaf from the rest. You can also use the Haralick descriptors (but you have to implement them yourself).
  • Do a frequency analysis; the leafs have higher frequency components than the background. Probably the easiest would be a wavelet decomposition, where the dH, dD and dV will contain the high-frequency components. You can also use frequency-domain transformations as the DCT or FFT.
  • As there are a lots of edges in the image that don’t belong to the leaf, I don’t really recommend edge detection like Canny, or area-based segmentation like Watershed. However you could try to detect the spikes of this kind of leaf using a Harris corner detector. Then use these points as a starting point for contour detection.

If you use the first two techniques, the algorithm is the following:

  • apply the desired filters on the image. it will give you several “descriptor” images. For wavelets you get 4, for Haralick 6-10 (depending on the number of features used), for Gabor filters you’ll get an image for each filter (direction and frequency). You can combine these (e.g. Haralick+Wavelet).
  • labelize manually a few images. I suggest to use 3 classes: leaf, background and leaf edge. As edges have different textural caracteristics, you need them for a correct result.

For each labelized pixel, get the features for that pixel. So for each pixel you should get:

Use this matrix to train an SVM.

Then, for each image, compute the descriptors and use the trained SVM to get the answer for each pixel. Normally you should get an image containing 3 classes: background, leaf and edge!

What you’ll need

With our practice file, or a photo of your own, use a selection tool to trace around the subject you want to remove. We used the Lasso tool to select the man on the right.

How to remove a picc line

Use Content-Aware Fill (Edit > Content-Aware Fill) to automatically fill the selection of the person with other parts of the image. The green overlay shows the areas of the picture that Photoshop samples from. The area on the right shows the preview of the results. If unwanted parts of the image are included in the sampling area, you can choose Subtract from overlay area (the “–” icon at the top) and use the brush to paint over the green areas to remove portions of the sampling area.

In this case, Content-Aware Fill did a good job with the selection we made, so we’re ready to apply the fill. We chose New Layer as the method to output the newly selected content and clicked OK.

How to remove a picc line

With this setting, Photoshop generates a nondestructive edit by putting the new content on its own layer. This way, the original image is still on a separate layer if you need it.

How you can uninstall a screensaver on Windows 10 depends on how it was installed. If the screensaver was automatically installed using an installation program (or “setup wizard”), you are often able to uninstall it just as easily from the “Apps & features” panel.

If you installed it manually by copying the screensaver file to your Windows folder, you will simply have to remove that one file to uninstall the screensaver.

Screensavers installed through an installation program can also be removed this way, but other files used by the screensaver, such as configuration files, may be left behind.

Removal via “Apps & features”

The “Apps & features” panel on Windows 10 merges the “Programs and Features” and “Uninstall a program” panels seen on previous versions of Windows. It allows you to search, sort and filter a list of all programs currently installed on your computer, including any screensavers that were installed via an installation program (this is usually the case if the file you downloaded has a .exe extension and its file type in the Explorer is “Application”).

How to remove a picc line

Opening the “Apps & features” panel

Click on the Start menu button at the bottom left of your screen, then click the cogwheel icon just above the power icon to enter the Windows Settings menu.

How to remove a picc line

Next, click the “System” tile, highlighted below.

How to remove a picc line

You have now opened the System Settings panel. Finally, click on the “Apps & features” link (under “Display”) in the left sidebar to open the “Apps & features” panel.

How to remove a picc line

Removing a screensaver

To remove a screensaver, or any other application, find its name in the list of installed programs and click it once to reveal the “Modify” and “Uninstall” buttons.

How to remove a picc line

Clicking the “Uninstall” button, an action you may need to confirm by clicking another “Uninstall” button to signify you understand “The app and its related info will be uninstalled”, will launch the application’s uninstallation program.

Follow the instructions (if any) given by the uninstallation program to complete the removal of the screensaver. When the uninstallation process has successfully completed, the application will disappear from the list in the “Apps & features” panel.

Manual removal

If a screensaver is not listed in the “Apps & features” panel or the uninstallation process fails for some reason, you can try deleting the screensaver file manually to remove the screensaver from the list in the Screen Saver Settings panel.

Open the File Explorer

To open the File Explorer, click the Start menu button, followed by the folder icon.

How to remove a picc line

Browse to your C drive

In the left sidebar of the File Explorer, click the “This PC” link for an overview of your devices and drives, as well as your personal folders. Double-click the drive onto which Windows 10 is installed — on most computers, this will be the C: drive, and it will show a Windows icon.

How to remove a picc line

Open the Windows folder and sort by file type

Once you have browsed to the drive onto which Windows 10 is installed, you should now see a list of folders. Near the bottom of the list, double-click the “Windows” folder to enter it.

How to remove a picc line

Now click the “Type” header just above the list of files to sort the list by file type.

How to remove a picc line

You can now scroll down the list to where the Type column says “Screen saver”. These are the screensavers currently installed into the Windows folder.

If the screensaver you wish to remove is not listed here, scroll back up, find the “System32” and/or “SysWOW64” folders, and see if it is listed there instead.

Delete the screensaver file

Once you have located the screensaver you would like to delete, right-click the file and choose “Delete”. It will be moved to your Trash Can, where you can optionally retrieve it from if you deleted a screensaver (or other file) by mistake.

After removal, the screensaver will no longer be listed in the Screen Saver Settings panel.

How to Remove Text from an Image

You have most likely been in a situation when your camera has added the exact date and time a picture was taken to the photo you’ve made. Yes, you can turn the feature off, but if you forget, you’ll need a way to easily remove the date stamp from a photo. Or maybe you’ve found a beautiful photo on the internet with text written across it that ruins the picture. How to remove text from a picture without Photoshop or other professional photo editors is likely a challenge for many of you. All you need is a simple and intuitive photo-editing app. Picverse Photo Editor is the way to go when you need to remove text from an image.

Learn how to delete date stamps, captions, text, and other unwanted elements from photos with Picverse Photo Editor. This step-by-step guide applies to both the Windows and Mac versions of the software – all you need to do is download and install the version you need and follow the instructions below.

Step 1. Launch the Program and Add Your Photo

Start the text remover, click Browse for Images to open the file you want to clean up using Windows Explorer or Finder if you’re using a Mac. Alternatively, you can simply drag and drop the picture into the program’s editing area.

Step 2. Mark and Erase the Date Stamp or Caption

A dead pixel is a picture element that stops lighting up, causing a persistent black dot on the screen.

If you suspect you have one, but you aren’t sure, investigate more closely with tools like the Dead Pixels Test or CheckPixels.com. These programs often display solid colors on the entire screen, allowing your eyes to more easily pick out pixels that aren’t functioning properly.

Dead pixels can’t be fixed in most cases, but you can sometimes revive those pixels. We have a few solutions for you to try before you send your device out for repairs.

Dead pixels are not the same as stuck pixels. These pixels look almost the same, but there’s an important distinction. A dead pixel won’t turn on, whereas a stuck pixel is permanently on. Since it’s permanently on, it typically appears as a bright, persistent dot on the screen, and is either red, green, blue, or white. If a problematic pixel is dead, it should look like a small black rectangle.

Causes of Dead Pixels

A dead pixel occurs when the transistor that powers it fails to supply power, causing it to remain permanently black, never illuminating.

The most common cause of dead pixels is a manufacturing defect. Undetectably small errors in assembly can result in a handful of dead pixels among the millions of functional ones.

Dead pixels can also appear later on in a display’s life, mostly as the result of physical damage.

How to Fix a Dead Pixel on Your Monitor, Smartphone, or Tablet

Here are a few things you can try to fix a dead pixel on your device’s display:

Wait for the dead pixel to disappear.

It may go away on its own, but there’s no telling how long it will take. You might have the dead pixel for the remainder of the device’s life, or it might go away in a week.

Try JScreenFix. This free web app fixes many stuck pixels in less than 10 minutes.

There’s no software to download or install, and it’s suitable for LCD and OLED screens.

This likely won’t work if the pixels are dead instead of stuck, but there’s no harm in trying.

Replace the screen. The most reliable way to fix a dead pixel is to replace the screen.

Many manufacturers have warranties that cover dead pixels, so check your device’s warranty to see if this situation applies to you. Most display manufacturers require a minimum number of dead pixels before the screen can be replaced.

For a display the size of a computer monitor, the minimum is typically four to eight dead pixels. Smaller displays have lower minimum requirements.

You can examine the dead pixel policies of Acer, Apple, Dell, LG, and Samsung, but the best source is always the device’s specific warranty documents.

You may come across other methods of fixing this problem yourself, including “pressure” and “heat” methods. We do not recommend trying these methods as they can make the problem much worse if not done properly!

There isn’t a lot you can do to fix dead pixels; most people tend to buy a new tablet, computer, or TV when pixels start going bad. If you’re not comfortable with replacing the screen yourself (most people aren’t), then the next step is to find a local repair shop if your device is no longer under warranty or break out the wallet.

I am not an expert photoshop user but have been trying to use more of it in what I currently do.

I have a black and white image from which I am trying to remove all the white.

I cannot use the magic wand/delete because the white is in literally hundreds of places and in some cases very tiny.

Is there a method to strip the white off, leaving just the black?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Indeed you should perform right selection.

Select->Color Range and click on the spot colored with color you want to select – you will see the change on the preview screen.

Also, you can choose the color from sampled colors drop down menu

Fuzziness should be set to 0.

If you press SHIFT while selecting (you can also click Shift and drag of the image) it will select all the spots with the same color.

After selection was made you can perform on it any action you want.

The easiest way you can do this is by unchecking the contiguous (marked yellow in screenshot) location when selecting the white colour with magic wand. This will select only those areas which you want. To get exact colour or colour range you can set the Tolerance as per your image.

If you just want transparency where the white is, you don’t need Photoshop. This is a very simple thing to do in PowerPoint. 1. Paste the image into PowerPoint 2. Select the image 3. Hit the Format tab 4. Click Color 5. Click Set Transparent Color 6. Click on one of the white areas you want to remove. 7. Right click the image and Save as Picture.

Of course, this will only remove one color, so if there are shades of grey in your white, this is NOT a solution.

The quickest option I would use if you are only removing white background, is on the layers panel, create a new layer under your image with the desired background colour / photo etc. then on the layer you are trying to remove the white from, select the option “multiply” from the dropdown next to the opacity %.

similarly “screen” will do the same thing for Black in the image.

Steps shown in video:

  1. Create a new layer,
  2. Create clipping mask over the layer on which color is to be removed
  3. Switch blending mode of new layer to color (3rd last)
  4. Paint with care (Resampling again and again for color tones)
  5. Done!

Putting safeguards in place is always a good idea. You may want to remove other items, so here are other functions you should know about:

shutil.rmtree(): Removes the specified directory, all subdirectories, and all files. This function is especially dangerous because it removes everything without checking (Python assumes that you know what you’re doing). As a result, you can easily lose data using this function.

    • Remove Ticks the Right Way
    • What Do I Do With the Extracted Tick?
    • When Should I Call My Doctor?

Everyone and their uncle has a favorite method for removing a tick — from burning it with a cigarette to smothering it in petroleum jelly or painting it with nail polish. But that’s not how you should go about it.

To safely remove a tick, all you really need is a pair of pointy tweezers and a good eye.

    Remove Ticks the Right Way

Before you dive in, you’ll want to get:

    • Pointy tweezers
    • Rubbing alcohol (If you don’t have it, soap and water works, too)

Pointy tweezers aren’t the typical household tweezers that you use to pluck your eyebrows. You want pointy tips, not squared-off ones. Ticks can be as small as poppy seeds. If you use regular tweezers, you might tear them.

Once you have your tools, here’s what to do:

    1. Clean the area around the tick bite with rubbing alcohol.
    2. Get your tweezers right down on your skin so you can grab as close as possible to the tick’s head.
    3. Pull up slow and firm. Don’t jerk or twist; a nice, steady pressure straight up will do.
    4. Clean the bite area again, and your hands, with rubbing alcohol or soap and water.

And that’s it. If the part of the head breaks off when you pull the tick out, that’s OK. You can try to remove it with tweezers, but if you can’t, it’s no problem. Your skin will heal.

What Do I Do With the Extracted Tick?

You have two options: Get it tested or get rid of it.

Send a tick for testing: It can help to get the tick tested so you’ll know if it was carrying any diseases it might have given you. To do this, place it in a sealed container along with a blade of grass to keep it alive. Then, take it for testing.

Some state agencies do tick testing, but if you’re not sure where to send the tick, ask your doctor.

Get rid of a tick: If you just want it safely out of your life, you can:

    • Drown it in a container with rubbing alcohol or soapy water
    • Flush it down the toilet
    • Wrap it tightly in tape, then throw it out

Whatever you do, avoid the temptation to crush it with your fingers. This is another way you can get disease from it.

When Should I Call My Doctor?

Call your doctor if you have any symptoms of Lyme or other diseases carried by ticks, such as:

    • Chills
    • Fever
    • Headache
    • Muscle aches
    • Rash

Make sure to tell your doctor that you had a tick bite, how long ago it happened, and where you might have gotten it.

This is a good reason to get the tested. Tick diseases have similar symptoms to each other and to a lot of other illnesses. It can help to know what it was carrying.

Calcium buildup in your pipes can be quite a nuisance. Even worse, though, is ignoring the problem and simply dealing with slow water flow and draining issues. Ignoring a limescale problem can turn a nuisance into a downright nightmare for your bank account. So, what can be done about the problem without costing you a fortune?

    Water Softening Systems

First of all, there are a few ways to remove limescale and mineral accumulation in your pipes. The best way is to permanently fix the problem by purchasing a water softening system that will prevent calcium buildup from occurring. These systems can be expensive, but to keep costs down, you can install them yourself. If you do decide to go this route, you’ll still need to clean out the minerals that are currently plaguing your pipes.

    Option 1: Chemicals

How to remove a picc line

One way to remove unwanted calcium buildup is to purchase a product like CLR. This is a product with an acid that is engineered to cut through calcium, limescale, and other minerals to deep clean your pipes. This chemical can be quite pricey, but if you can find a generic version or a hydrochloric acid product (dilute according to the brand’s instructions), you may be able to make this DIY project cost-effective.

Another issue some have with this chemical has to do more with the particular plumbing system than the chemicals themselves. For example, if you have a well, you don’t want this caustic chemical going back into your potable water. If that’s the case, you’ll want to use a natural alternative to clean out your pipes.

Option 2: Vinegar and Baking Soda

How to remove a picc line

Option two uses a good old vinegar and baking soda mix to clean the calcium buildup out of your plumbing. This is the cheapest and safest method, but it will take a lot of mixture and a lot more time to complete than an acid-based cleaner. If you go this route, you’ll want approximately 2 to 3 gallons of white vinegar for a 1,000 square foot home and about one cup of baking soda per drain.

Note: You can opt for a vinegar only approach as the baking soda isn’t a must, but it will help the process go smoother, faster, and be more effective.

    Removing Buildup

No matter what option you chose to remove your limescale or calcium buildup, you will follow the same steps as outlined below. The only difference you’ll face between options is time. For vinegar and baking soda to work effectively, you’ll need to allow the pipes to soak for at least three to four hours. When using a store-bought acid product, the process only takes 10-15 minutes.

Step 1 – Fill Pots of Water

You’ll need to fill a large pot of water for each sink or shower drain you will be treating. Then set the pots aside.

Step 2 – Shut Off Water

How to remove a picc line

Turn off the water to your house before filling your pipes with either solution. Also turn off the breaker to your water heater so that it won’t burn up while no water is coming in or flowing through.

Step 3 – Empty Your Pipes

Turn on the taps in all areas of your home, including your outdoor hoses, to allow all water to drain out of the pipes. Flush toilets as well. Turn off all the taps once all the water is drained.

Note: If you’re using the vinegar to clean, remember that you’ll be waiting three to four hours to use any of the taps in your home again, so fill water jugs if you’ll need water for any household chores or conveniences.

Step 4 – Fill Your Pipes

How to remove a picc line

Now it’s time for the fun part, pouring your choice of limescale and mineral dissolvent into the drain.

If you’re using CLR or another highly acidic option, use goggles and gloves before working with the product so that it won’t splash back on you and harm your skin or eyes. Use a funnel and pour the solution carefully down all your drains.

If you’re using a natural vinegar and baking soda solution, you will put each product down the plumbing separately. Go to each sink and put in one cup of baking soda. Then slowly pour as much vinegar as each sink will hold. Let this sit. You should expect the mixture to bubble and fizz.

    Step 5 – Clean

While you’re waiting for the cleaning solution to do its job, you can remove shower heads and place them in extra bowls of the solution to clean off limescale and mineral deposits, around 10 minutes for the CLR and 3 hours for vinegar and baking soda. Scrub if needed and rinse before reattaching it.

Step 6 – Blast with Boiling Water

How to remove a picc line

Before you turned off the water, you set aside pots of water. Boil a large pot of water, one for each drain, for about 30 minutes before your solution is set to be done cleaning. Then pour the boiling water quickly and forcefully down the drains. This will help to dissolve any grease or soap leftover, sanitize your sinks, and wash away leftover calcium buildup.

    Step 7 – Flush

In case you forgot earlier, make sure all your taps are turned off, or else you’ll be having water flowing everywhere once you turn your water and your water heater breaker back on. One by one, open all of your faucets at full blast so that the limescale deposits you just soaked will emerge from them.

It is normal to see calcium buildup and limescale chunks. However, some may be sitting at the bottom of pipes in powder form. You may want to consider opening up the drain pipes below your sinks and clean the p-traps out as much of the debris will settle in there.

If you have so much calcium buildup that either of the above options didn’t work, you may need to remove the most affected pipes and soak them in the acid or vinegar solution. If they’re too far gone, you may need to replace them, which can happen if limescale and mineral accumulation has gone unattended for a long period of time.

Hopefully one these solutions helped to remove calcium buildup from your pipes. If you repeat the process at least once a year (if you don’t get a water softener system), you’ll keep your wallet and your pipes happy.

This explains how to delete objects outside the Illustrator artboard. Also, the export methods of your vector drawing are shown. You can export your file as a raster image or vector file using these methods. Therefore this article not only shows removing drawings outside of artboard but also save as jpeg file.

What would you like to do?
    • I would like to remove everything outside of the artboard and save as a vector file.
    • I would like to remove everything outside of the artboard and export as a raster image.
    • I would like to resize my artboard to the size of my vector drawing.
Crop your vector using Pathfinder to remove outside of the boundary

In order to crop your vector drawings, place all your objects in the same layer.
How to remove a picc line

Create a rectangle in front of the objects.

How to remove a picc line

How to remove a picc line

Select them all and use “crop” command in the Pathfinder panel.

Be careful, this command will divide all your objects into many parts. It may be difficult to re-edit your file later.

    Use Layer Clipping Mask

If you still want to crop your objects without deformation, you need to use one of the masking options. Either you can use a clipping mask, opacity mask or layer clipping mask. Each of them has different results.

Most people use the layer clipping mask to visually crop vectors to the artboard.

Create a rectangle up to the size of the artboard in the same layer with your objects. Bring it to the front if not.

How to remove a picc line

Click on the layer name and Click layer clipping mask icon. Using layer clipping mask will not actually crop your vector drawings. It will only hide places outside of the boundaries of the artboard. When you export without restraining to the artboard size, all your drawings will be visible in your raster image file.

    Export

How do I export just the artboard in Illustrator?

Sometimes you need to export your vector drawings into raster images. Especially when you want to use your drawings for a web page, you should export your ai file to a jpg image. In the normal case, I mean if all of your drawings are inside of the artboard, you can easily export your file to a jpg. On the other hand, when your drawings exceed the boundary of the artboard, the ordinary export command will result in exporting all the drawings you have in your file regardless of your artboard size.

As for exporting only what is inside of the artboard to a jpg file, you have three commands under the file>export menu.

    • Export for screens
    • Export As.
    • Save for web

If you just want to export your artboard, you can use one of all three options.

How to remove a picc line

It is very obvious what to do if you use “ Export for screens ” option. Just select the artboard to be exported (1). Define the quality of the file if you like(2). And click export artboard button(3).

How to remove a picc line

If you decide to use “ Export As.. “ option, select the file type you require (1) and make sure to thick “use artboard” checkbox (2). Then Export (3)

Finally, when you decide to use “ S ave for web s ” option, make sure “clip to artboard” checkbox is checked.

Please note that this information is valid for Adobe Illustrator CC. If you use an older version of the illustrator, the menus may have different options.

    Resize artboard

Sometimes you need your artboard to fit your drawings. In that case, double-click artboard icon in the tools panel and select the Preset pull-down menu. Choose “fit to artboard bounds” as preset.
